For more than 40 years, the Tennessee Arts Commission (TAC) has encouraged excellence in the state's artists and arts organizations including the performing, visual, and literary arts. Dedicated to ensuring the citizens of Tennessee have access to, and the opportunity to participate in, the arts the Commission’s outreach has continued to expand through the years.
The International Storytelling Center (ISC) has been a recipient of TAC’s grant programs since the Commission helped fund the first National Storytelling Festival in 1973. During the past decade, ISC has also received funding for operational support through TAC as one of Tennessee’s Major Cultural Institutions.
Now you can be a driving force in helping the Commission present and produce arts events and activities for organizations like ISC as well as promote the public interest in Tennessee’s culture heritage. By purchasing a TAC specialty license plate you can support efforts to help Tennessee citizens achieve a better quality of life, provide children with a more complete education, and attract tourists to visit the state. A portion of each TAC specialty license plate fee goes directly to the Commission.
The State of Tennessee offers more than 90 specialty license plates for Tennessee motorists to display on their registered motor vehicles. These plates represent colleges and universities, branches of the military, special interest organizations, and professional organizations, among others.
The TAC license plates are readily available at your local county clerk's office with three designs to choose from. Click here for more information about the license plates or to view the TAC designs.
